Named after the Japanese word “Bakku,” meaning “bag,” this collection embodies a distinctive, fluid form reminiscent of a softly collapsing bag. Each vase celebrates the allure of imperfection, embracing natural curves and delicate variations that bring artistic elegance to any space.
Expertly crafted through the age-old technique of mouth-blown glassmaking, each Bakku vase begins as molten glass heated to 1500 degrees before being carefully shaped inside a custom mold. Air is then gently blown into the glass, forming its iconic silhouette. Once removed from the mold, the vase undergoes a meticulous tempering process, with its top edge cut and polished to perfection. Finally, it is spray-painted in Smoked Forest—a rich, transparent dark hue with subtle bronze undertones, adding depth and sophistication to any interior. Owing to its artisanal craftsmanship, no two Bakku vases are exactly alike; small air bubbles or slight variations in shape make each piece truly one-of-a-kind.
Available in two sizes, the mini vase is perfect for a delicate floral arrangement on a dining table or as a refined accent on a console or coffee table. The larger vase, on the other hand, makes a bold statement—whether displaying vibrant blooms, sculptural branches, or standing alone as a striking glass centrepiece.
